Critères de l'école
À propos
Founded in 1990, our School serves the international community, with English as the main language of instruction. Classes are taught in English by native English teachers, except for two half-days a week of instruction in French for primary children.
Our program is grounded in principles of child development and learning, and is centred around the various needs, interests and learning styles of children.
The curriculum followed at MIS incorporates the attainment targets set out by the British National Curriculum, the French pedagogic directives and American guidelines, to ensure that when your child eventually leaves us to enter another school, he or she will have reached the appropriate level of achievement.
In our preschool and nursery classes, the teaching is strongly based on the Montessori approach.
Apart from the main curriculum subjects, children also have music, sports, library time and IT (from age 5). Many subjects are taught through topic work, so that the separate subjects may easily be distinguished. The teacher plans the balance of the curriculum to ensure that sufficient time is allocated to each activity, offering a worthwhile learning experience.
